MANILA, Nov. 21 -- A Catholic group on Friday launched a 9 a.m. prayer campaign against corruption and encouraged the people to support the endeavor.
The Catholic Advocates for Responsible Electorate (CARE) said participants in the drive will be called "prayer warriors".
"This nationwide initiative will unite believers and pressure government officials to launch a full investigation into alleged corruption in the Philippines' flood control projects," the group said in a statement.
"The movement leverages the rosary as a symbol of unity, turning spiritual practice into actionable advocacy for communities devastated by substandard infrastructure and delayed flood mitigation efforts," it added.
