Manila, June 6 -- Living with purpose rather than seeking momentary joy is a "true sacrifice," Budget Secretary Amenah Pangandaman said on Friday as she joined her fellow Muslims in observing Eid al-Adha, or the Feast of Sacrifice.

"I stand in heartfelt solidarity with my Muslim brothers and sisters to celebrate not just a religious tradition but a universal story of faith, sacrifice, and the enduring power of trust in the Divine," she said in her message.

"May this remind us that true sacrifice isn't about losing but loving beyond ourselves, surrendering with faith, and choosing purpose over comfort."
