Manila, Nov. 11 -- China will donate PHP141 million in humanitarian aid to the Philippines over the devastation brought by Typhoon Tino and Super Typhoon Uwan, the Chinese Embassy in Manila announced Tuesday.
The embassy said China has allocated USD1 million (approximately PHP58 million) in cash and 10 million Chinese yuan renminbi (approximately PHP82.8 million) in kind to provide relief to the victims.
"We express deep condolences to the victims and sincere sympathies to the bereaved families, the injured, and the affected communities," it said.
"We sincerely hope that the Filipino people in the disaster-stricken areas will recover and rebuild their homes soon," it added.
