MANILA, Sept. 15 -- Cebu Pacific (CEB) reported a slight decline in passenger traffic for August 2025, citing the lean travel season.

The airline flew 2.1 million passengers last month, down 0.4 percent year-on-year.

Domestic traffic fell by 4.4 percent, while international passengers rose 13.3 percent compared to the same month in 2024.

"The softer year-on-year (YoY) traffic in August reflects the usual lean travel season in the Philippines, particularly for domestic routes, while international passenger growth remained strong," CEB chief executive officer Mike Szucs said in a statement.
