Manila, May 2 -- The Cebu City government is finalizing the purchase of a lot near the village of Buhisan here for the elementary school's relocation due to the school building's critical structural damage at its current location, including dangerous ground cracks.
John Jigo Dacua, head of the Office of the City Superintendent of Schools, said Friday they have inspected the potential property two weeks ago but have not yet presented a final offer to the property owners due to conflict in schedules.
The site has residents, posing a challenge to the local government which may consider another suitable location.
However, Dacua assured that he would expedite the procurement process to ensure the swift acquisition of a property.
