Manila, Sept. 2 -- Cagayan de Oro City 2nd District Representative Rufus Rodriguez called for the restoration of the PHP6-billion Tourism Road Infrastructure Project (TRIP), which would also benefit Mindanao.
During the House of Representatives Appropriations Committee budget briefing for the Department of Tourism (DOT) on Monday, Rodriguez said allocating the budget for TRIP next year would continue the agency's mandate to bridge communities to economic development, especially in Mindanao.
"We're talking of bringing out all of these developments in the region, especially in Mindanao," Rodriguez, also the vice chair of the committee, said.
