Manila, Jan. 5 -- The Laoag City government, through its Public Employment Service Office (PESO), is expanding its career coaching for junior and senior high school students.
PESO head Shey Pia Abaya said in a media interview on Monday that the city will strengthen its career coaching program in 2026, focusing on learners in Grades 10, 11 and 12.
She said the initiative supports the Department of Labor and Employment's mandate to provide career guidance to students, helping them prepare for future employment by identifying their strengths, interests and possible career paths early on.
The program is designed to help students make informed decisions about their education and career choices.
