BUTUAN CITY, Dec. 3 -- The Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD-13) in the Caraga Region on Wednesday lauded the local government units (LGUs) in the region that successfully updated their Comprehensive Land Use Plans (CLUPs).

"A total of 34 LGUs across the five provinces in the region have already updated their CLUPs as of Oct. 31 this year," the DHSUD-13 said.

Of the total number of LGUs with updated CLUPs, nine are in Agusan del Sur, four in Agusan del Norte, eight in Surigao del Norte, 10 in Surigao del Sur, and three in Dinagat Islands.

The agency added that seven LGUs in the region have their CLUPs expiring this year, while 39 others are due for updating.
