Manila, Feb. 2 -- The Calapan City District Jail (CCDJ) on Saturday participated in a bloodletting activity conducted by the Holy Infant Academy, Inc. with the theme, "A Simple Act, A Life Saving Impact".
Acting CCDJ Warden, Chief Inspector Randie Abril said the event is part of a larger campaign to increase the local blood supply and encourage residents to make a lifesaving difference by donating blood.
"We are excited to continue our mission of regularly taking part in this crucial act of kindness," Abril said as quoted in a news release.
