Manila, April 14 -- The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) issued reminders on Monday in time for the expected influx this Holy Week.
All 44 CAAP-operated airports are on heightened alert, with additional personnel deployed to assist travelers.
CAAP said security and baggage screening procedures have been intensified.
Medical and emergency teams are on standby to respond to incidents.
The public is advised to refrain from bringing sharp objects, flammable items, and oversized liquids in carry-on luggage, and should not leave their baggage unattended.
Travelers are also advised to pack power banks should be in the hand-carry bags, and check that these meet the capacity limits.
