Tacloban City, July 30 -- The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) on Wednesday assured travelers that there will be no more cancellations of flights at the Tacloban Airport due to a discrepancy in the Precision Approach Path Indicator (PAPI).

In a phone interview, CAAP Eastern Visayas area manager Danilo Abarreta said the issue on PAPI has been addressed and only affected two night flights of Philippine Airlines bound for Cebu and Manila, and one Manila-bound Air Asia flight on Monday.

"The cancellation of flights was just temporary due to a discrepancy in the PAPI reading of pilots as reported to us on Monday," Abarreta told the Philippine News Agency.
