Manila, Feb. 19 -- The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) said on Wednesday that it has met with executives of India's flag carrier, Air India, to discuss the possible mounting of direct flights between the two countries.
The meeting, held at CAAP's central office on Tuesday, tackled the proposed routes, flight frequencies, and logistical considerations to ensure an efficient and seamless approval process.
The CAAP also discussed the required documentation, technical specifications, and procedural framework necessary for securing flight approvals.
Discussion is ongoing regarding the specific location for the direct flights, CAAP information officer Bea Bernardo said in an interview.
