Manila, April 25 -- The Court of Appeals has affirmed its earlier decision turning down a petition filed by Cagayan Governor Manuel Mamba to dismiss a libel complaint filed against him by presidential legal counsel Juan Ponce Enrile.
In a resolution dated April 21, the appellate court said petitioners Mamba and Rogelio Sending Jr. failed to raise new arguments to warrant the reversal of the court's Dec. 6, 2024 ruling.
The ruling upheld the resolution of the Makati Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 137 denying Mamba's plea for the dismissal of the case.
