MANILA, Dec. 4 -- President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. said Thursday the 1.3-km. Bucana Bridge in Davao City will open to motorists on Dec. 15, a development expected to ease traffic congestion in the city, especially during the holiday season.
Marcos made the statement after inspecting the bridge, also known as the Davao River Bridge.
He said the Bucana Bridge, which forms part of the larger Davao City Bypass project, is projected to cut travel time from nearly 2 hours to just 20 to 25 minutes once operational.
