Manila, June 28 -- The construction of Bucana Bridge in Davao City is on track for full completion by the last quarter of 2025, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) reported over the weekend.

The PHP3.126-billion project is funded under the Official Development Assistance program of the People's Republic of China.

It connects the city to the Davao Coastal Road and strengthens the overall road network in the Davao Region.

Senior Undersecretary Emil Sadain, in-charge of DPWH flagship infrastructure projects under the "Build Better More" program, said the project has reached 92.3 percent construction progress.
