Manila, March 26 -- The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) South Luzon Regional Branch here is urging Bicolanos to exchange their unfit peso bills and coins at the Liberty Commercial Center (LCC) malls in the region.

LCC branches across Bicol are now accepting mutilated banknotes and coins after forging a partnership with the BSP to jointly promote financial literacy and proper handling of Philippine currency.

During their Piso Caravan at the mall here on Wednesday, Alvin Bermido, area director of the BSP Legazpi branch, said this initiative reinforces their commitment to promoting the clean note policy and coin recirculation program.
