Manila, May 12 -- British Ambassador to the Philippines Laure Beaufils on Monday said initial impressions from her team observing the 2025 midterm elections have been largely encouraging, describing the conduct as "mostly positive."

"I think the people have found... our staff have found that the elections were really well-organized," Beaufils told the Philippine News Agency during her visit to the command center of poll watchdog Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) here.

She added that her team observed a "very impressive" turnout of voters, whom she described as "keen to vote and make a difference."
