DAVAO CITY, April 8 -- Residents and businesses in Tagum City, Island Garden City of Samal, and several municipalities in Davao del Norte and Davao de Oro provinces are anticipating changes in their power service following the lapse into law of Senate Bill No. 2888 (House Bill No. 11072) over the weekend.

The new legislation will allow the Davao Light and Power Company to extend its services to these areas, which are currently under the Northern Davao Electric Cooperative (Nordeco).
