MANILA, Dec. 1 -- Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) chief Gen. Romeo Brawner Jr. on Monday lauded all military personnel for remaining true to their mandate despite calls for them to withdraw support from the government.
"Let me also congratulate the entire AFP for remaining disciplined, professional, and united," he said during the flag-raising ceremony in Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City.
"Hindi tayo tumugon sa kanilang panawagan. Bagkus tayo ay nanatiling disiplinado, professional, at nagkakaisa (We did not heed their calls. Instead we remained disciplined, professional and united)," he added.
