Manila, May 13 -- The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) on Thursday reminded all local DRRM councils, local government units, and residents of areas in Mindanao under storm warning signals to brace for the onslaught of Tropical Depression Crising.
Areas in Surigao del Sur, Agusan del Sur, Davao Oriental, Davao de Oro, and Davao del Norte will experience moderate to heavy rains Thursday and Friday morning due to the effects of the tropical depression.
"Residents of the said provinces are advised to prepare for possible flooding and rain-induced landslides during heavy or prolonged rainfall especially those areas that are highly susceptible to these hazards," the NDRRMC said in a statement.
