DUMAGUETE CITY, Feb. 29 -- Law enforcement agencies on Wednesday conducted a simulation exercise of a bomb threat scenario at the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) administration building in this capital city of Negros Oriental to test their readiness and response capabilities.

Police Chief Master Sgt. Marcelo Augusto Lerio, team leader of the Provincial EOD (Explosives and Ordnance Division) and the Canine Unit (PECU)-Negros Oriental, said the exercise was in response to a request from the PPA to hold bomb threat drills in their offices nationwide following recent incidents of bomb threats in Metro Manila and some provinces.
