Manila, Feb. 3 -- The Bureau of Customs (BOC) on Tuesday reported a surplus amounting to PHP513 million on its receiving collection at the start of the year.
In a statement, Commissioner Ariel Nepomuceno said for January 2026, they have collected PHP80.744 billion and exceeded its target, reflecting a 100.6 percent revenue collection efficiency.
He noted that the performance also marked a PHP1.490 billion increase, or 1.9 percent growth, compared to the PHP79.254 billion collected in January 2025.
