Manila, June 9 -- The Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) in the Mimaropa Region participated in the annual "Brigada Eskwela" initiative, assisting public schools in the provinces of Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and Palawan in preparation for the upcoming school year.

Jail Officer 3 Joefrie Anglo, information officer of BJMP-Mimaropa, emphasized that the bureau's involvement is part of its commitment to community service and support for education.

"Our participation in Brigada Eskwela reflects our dedication to ensuring a safe and conducive learning environment for students as they return to school," Anglo said in a news release on Monday.
