Manila, March 26 -- The Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), in partnership with the Dasmarinas City government, will construct a modernized prison facility designed to significantly reduce the city's jail congestion rate from 3,333 percent to just 46 percent.
In a statement on Wednesday, BJMP Chief Jail Director Ruel Rivera said the new Dasmarinas City jail facility is a testament to the bureau's unwavering commitment to jail decongestion and humane treatment of persons deprived of liberty (PDLs).
