Manila, July 9 -- The Department of Agriculture (DA) on Wednesday said the country's agricultural sector is anticipating to experience reduced damage this year, attributing to more favorable weather conditions.

This comes after the DA-Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) Operations Center reported minimal losses from Typhoon Bising (international name: Danas) and the southwest monsoon.

The DA-DDRMOC has so far reported PHP300,863 worth of damage to palay (unhusked rice), affecting 13 farmers.
