Manila, June 16 -- The Benguet Electric Cooperative (Beneco) on Monday said it is confident that President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. will sign the bill giving it another 25 years of franchise validity, which will allow it to negotiate for a stable power supply and better electricity prices.
Chris Gonzales, head of the Community Relations (ComRel) Office of Beneco, said "nakikita naman natin na concerned ang Presidente sa benefit ng mamamayan lalo na ang kuryente na napakahalaga sa araw-araw na buhay at kabuhayan (We can see the President's concern for the benefit of the people especially when it comes to electricity which is salient to people's lives and livelihood)."
