Manila, May 13 -- Mayor Joy Belmonte and Vice Mayor Gian Sotto were officially proclaimed winners on Tuesday, securing their third and final terms in Quezon City.

For her third term, Belmonte made history by garnering an overwhelming total of 1,030,730 votes, according to data provided by the city hall. Her closest pursuer could only garner less than 25,000.

Sotto, meanwhile, had a total of 938,686 votes.

In an interview following the proclamation, Belmonte expressed gratitude to Quezon City residents for their continued trust, as she pledged to continue the delivery of quality public service that focuses on inclusive development, social services, and disaster resilience.
