Manila, Feb. 2 -- The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) on Monday recovered two more bodies as search and rescue (SAR) operations continue in the waters off Baluk-Baluk Island in Basilan following the sinking of MV Trisha Kerstin 3.
In a situation report, the PCG said a rigid hull inflatable boat (RHIB) from BRP Melchora Aquino turned over one cadaver to BRP Capones at around 10:05 a.m.
BRP Capones also reported a sighting of one additional cadaver on Mataja Island in Basilan.
Both bodies are now up for identification and proper disposition in coordination with the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO).
