Manila, Sept. 5 -- Bargain hunting sustained in the local bourse Friday, resulting in the second consecutive day of positive close for the Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi), and the peso finished sideways.
The main stocks gauge rose 0.69 percent to 6,149.13 points, and the All Shares by 0.40 percent to 3,692.71 points.
Most of the sectoral indices also finished the week with gains, led by the Services, after it inched up by 1.51 percent.
It was followed by the Mining and Oil, 1.23 percent; Holding Firms, 0.92 percent; Property, 0.70 percent; and Industrial, 0.10 percent.
Only the Financials declined after losing 0.07 percent.
Volume reached 2.27 billion shares, amounting to PHP5.97 billion.
