COTABATO CITY, Dec. 19 -- The Bangsamoro Parliament has asked President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to designate Special Assistant to the President Antonio Lagdameo Jr. as the national government co-chair of the Intergovernmental Relations Body.

The 80-member Bangsamoro Transition Authority adopted Resolution No. 775 on Dec. 17, formally requesting Lagdameo to replace former budget secretary Amenah Pangandaman, who resigned last month.

Moro Islamic Liberation Front First Vice Chairman Mohagher Iqbal is the MILF co-chair of the body.

MPs Jose Lorena, John Anthony Lim, Adzfar Usman, and Nabil Tan primarily authored the measure, which all members present co-sponsored.
