Manila, July 10 -- The Baguio City Police Office (BCPO) reported a significant 26.36 percent drop in vehicular incidents during the second quarter following the strict enforcement of speed limit regulations across the city.

"A 26.36 percent decrease in vehicular traffic incidents was recorded in the second quarter of 2025 compared to the first quarter, with the number dropping from 258 documented cases to 190," BCPO Director Col. Ruel Tagel said in a statement on Thursday.

He attributed the decline to the intensified enforcement of traffic laws and city ordinances.

In June alone, authorities cited 796 motorists for violating the "King of the Road" Ordinance, and issued 237 tickets for overspeeding.
