Manila, Feb. 18 -- The Baguio City Health Services Office (CHSO) on Tuesday urged the public to avail of free cancer screening services on Feb. 24 to increase the chances of cure through early detection.
In a phone interview, Dr. Celia Flor Brillantes, city health officer, told the Philippine News Agency that the free services include digital rectal exam, breast screening, cervical screening and chest x-ray, which would be offered to both residents and non-residents.
Aside from screening, health experts will also conduct a forum on the early warning signs of cancer and other cancer control, prevention, screening and detection modes to allow the people to be fully aware of their health condition.
