BAGUIO CITY, Oct. 23 -- The Baguio City Police Office (BCPO) will deploy more than 800 police officers and volunteers to ensure peace, order, and public safety during the observance of All Saints' and All Souls' Days.

BCPO Director Col. Ruel Tagel said Thursday that the deployment plan has been approved by the city administrator following coordination meetings with concerned agencies.

A total of 567 police officers, 69 personnel from PNP support units, and 176 volunteers will take part in "Oplan Undas."

Tagel emphasized that their focus extends beyond crime prevention to include emergency response and crowd management.

"We must be capable of responding in case there are incidents during the observance," Tagel said.
