Manila, Oct. 28 -- The Department of Trade and Industry in the Cordillera (DTI-CAR) and the city government are intensifying their crackdown on establishments selling products that fail to meet national quality standards.
In a statement on Tuesday, Mayor Benjamin Magalong, said uncertified products in the market put consumers and their properties at risk, especially items without the mandatory Philippine Standard (PS) mark or Import Commodity Clearance (ICC).
These safety certifications indicate whether products comply with national standards for quality and safe use.
"We are sustaining our campaign to ensure product quality, fair trade practices and consumer protection in the city," the mayor said.
