Manila, Oct. 1 -- The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) is eyeing zero major crime incidents in the 46th MassKara Festival, which for the first time kicks off Wednesday night in two venues - the Bacolod Public Plaza and the Bacolod City Government Center.
"That has been our objective - zero major crime incidents. That is our yardstick for us to say that the MassKara 2025 is successful," Col. Joeresty Coronica, director of Bacolod City Police Office, said in an interview.
Also, for the first time this year, there is no gun ban for the duration of the MassKara Festival, but Coronica said they have contingency plans to address the absence of firearms prohibition.
