BACOLOD CITY, Nov. 24 -- A team of firefighters who helped a young woman deliver a baby girl in front of the Bacolod City Fire Station over the weekend were given recognition by the Bureau of Fire Protection-Negros Island Region (BFP-NIR) on Monday.
Fire Chief Supt. Rodolfo Denaga, BFP-NIR director, awarded the Medalya ng Papuri to Insp. Jemarie Tapiru, Senior Fire Officers 1 Gelvin Mapa, Francis James Bariento and Mohammad Saleh Ahmad Albadarneh, Fire Officer 3 Joanna Marie Trecho, and Fire Officers 1 Gabriel Gabrido and Stephin Magdato in a ceremony held at the Talisay City Fire Station grounds.
