Manila, March 25 -- The city government here is extending healthcare benefits to persons deprived of liberty (PDL) under the Bacolod City Comprehensive Health Program (BacCHP).

In an interview on Tuesday, BacCHP focal person Mae Cuaycong said they are visiting district jails this week to give an orientation on the city's flagship healthcare program coverage for PDL who are Bacolod residents.

"If ever they would need hospitalization assistance, the city government can help them," she said.

Cuaycong said they are also assisting some of the PDL enrol in the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth).
