Manila, Sept. 18 -- This city, the 2024 Most Business-Friendly Local Government Unit (LGU) among the provincial highly urbanized cities, is eyeing recognition after making it to the competition's shortlist again this year.

On Thursday, the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) announced that Bacolod, together with Baguio, Butuan, Cagayan, and Iloilo, is included in the Top 5 LGUs under the City Level 1B for the 2025 Most Business-Friendly LGU Awards.

"These outstanding cities have showcased exemplary leadership in advancing local economic development, promoting competitiveness, and creating a business-friendly environment that uplifts communities and enterprises alike," the PCCI said in a statement.
