Manila, May 29 -- Philippine Army (PA) commander Lt. Gen. Roy Galido called on the Army Signal Regiment (ASR) to continue enhancing its capabilities to defend the country's cyberspace from all threats.

Galido made the call during the ASR's 14th-anniversary celebration on Wednesday, PA spokesperson Col. Louie Dema-ala said in a news release.

"Communication. Connectivity. Cybersecurity. These are the cornerstones of the ASR's unwavering commitment to the PA. Today, we recognize, not just the passage of 14 years, but the remarkable progress and invaluable contributions of the ASR to the operational effectiveness of our entire force," Galido said.
