Manila, April 11 -- The Philippine Army (PA) has lauded the "exceptional contributions" of one of its officers to peacebuilding efforts in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).

Maj. Ron JR Villarosa was recognized for his innovative peacebuilding efforts on Thursday at the Army headquarters in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City, PA spokesperson Col. Louie Dema-ala said in a media statement Friday.

"Army chief Lt. Gen. Roy Galido acknowledged Maj. Villarosa's exceptional contributions to peacebuilding efforts in the BARMM during the ceremony," he added.
