Manila, July 10 -- Philippine Army (PA) commander Lt. Gen. Roy Galido has ordered the 4th Infantry Division (4ID) to sustain their gains against New People's Army (NPA) rebels in the Caraga and Northern Mindanao regions.

In a statement on Thursday, the PA said Galido gave the order during his visit to the 4ID headquarters at Camp Evangelista in Barangay Patag, Cagayan de Oro City on Wednesday.

According to the PA, Galido first met with 4ID's brigade and battalion commanders "to discuss key accomplishments in internal security operations in their respective areas of responsibility."
