MANILA, June 13 -- The Philippine Army (PA) said Friday its Army Aviation Regiment conducted a maritime air patrol (MARPAT) over the Philippine Sea on June 11 as part of its maritime domain mission.

The flight mission was successfully executed using its twin-engine Cessna 421B aircraft, PA spokesperson Col. Louie Dema-ala said in a media statement.

The MARPAT patrolled the archipelagic and territorial seas of Aurora, Isabela, and Cagayan provinces, he added.

The mission also included the exclusive economic zone where the Philippine Rise is located.
