Manila, Dec. 30 -- Soldiers of the 2nd Infantry Battalion of the 9th Infantry Division (9ID) of the Philippine Army, in coordination with the Philippine National Police, seized a cache of New People's Army (NPA) explosives in Barangay Libas, Placer, Masbate on Tuesday.

In an information released by the 9ID, government troops were acting on information from local residents, uncovered an NPA arms cache containing 42 anti-personnel mines, and 119 improvised hand grenades.
