Manila, Dec. 22 -- The Antique Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) is reminding the public to observe road safety to avoid any untoward accident.

Antique PDRRMO Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officer III Michael Tolentino said that effective today, their operation center is already on a Blue Alert status for the holiday season until the New Year.

The Blue Alert means that their personnel are on standby and closely monitoring 24/7 the situation in the province for emergency response.

"We advise the commuters, especially those travelling from Iloilo to Antique, to take extra care because of the road repairs in the mountainous portion of Hamtic," he said.
