Manila, Feb. 17 -- The Antique provincial board approved on Monday an ordinance institutionalizing the Katuwang sa Diwa at Gawa para sa Masaganang Ani at Mataas na Kita or Kadiwa ng Pangulo (KNP).

KNP is one of the flagship programs of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. to promote agricultural productivity, ensure food security, and increase income opportunities for farmers and fisherfolk.

Board Member Karmila Rose Dimamay, sponsor of the Kadiwa ng Pangulo ordinance, authored by Vice Governor Edgar Denosta, said institutionalizing the KNP is essential as the province recognizes the vital role of agriculture in its economic development, food security, and improved socio-economic conditions of farmers, their families, and consumers.
