Manila, May 7 -- Senate candidates under the Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas coalition on Wednesday underscored the need to implement more infrastructure projects and a tighter budget oversight to ensure economic growth and sustain local job creation.

During the day, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) reported a steady annual growth rate of employment in March, estimated at 96.1 percent.
