Manila, April 4 -- Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas (ABP) senatorial candidates on Friday reaffirmed support for the proposed across-the-board minimum wage hike, which is gaining momentum in Congress.

In a press conference during the administration slate's campaign sortie at the Ynares Center in Antipolo City, ACT-CIS Party-list Rep. Erwin Tulfo noted that both houses of Congress have already filed wage hike proposals in response to public clamor over the rising cost of living.

He said a proposal for a PHP200 increase has been approved in the House of Representatives while a PHP100 hike has been approved in the Senate.
