MANILA, May 3 -- Senatorial candidates of the administration-backed Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas on Saturday vowed to support measures that would curb internet trolling, as well as the possible revisit of the Free Tertiary Education Act.

At a press conference on the sidelines of the party's campaign rally in Batangas City, ACT-CIS Rep. Erwin Tulfo said he wants a provision addressing online trolling included in the proposed anti-disinformation or anti-fake news measure in Congress.

Tulfo pointed out that trolling has a high probability of influencing readers, especially with the growing reliance of Filipinos on social media rather than the mainstream media.
