Manila, Nov. 6 -- Almost 61,000 departures per day were processed during the Undas long weekend, the Bureau of Immigration (BI) reported Wednesday.

In a statement, Commissioner Joel Anthony Viado said its personnel stationed at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) recorded an average of 60,727 departures from Oct. 27 to Nov. 2.

He said the highest logged number of departures was on Oct. 30, with the BI processing 67,942 individuals.

On Oct. 31, the eve of All Saints' Day, 61,017 total departures across all international ports of entry and exit, and 51,060 arrivals were recorded.

Arrivals on the said period averaged 48,688, with Nov. 2, All Souls' Day, having the highest logged. A total of 55,303 inbound travelers were proce...
