Manila, April 16 -- The Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council in Caraga Region (RDRRMC-13) has issued an alert to all local disaster management teams as Typhoon Bising intensified Friday. RDRRMC-13 chairperson Liza R. Mazo said that as of 10 a.m., the typhoon is located 960 kilometers east of Surigao City. Caraga Region will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms, and possible floods and landslides may occur due to severe thunderstorms, the alert said. In the next 24 hours, 'Bising' is expected to cause rough to very rough seas, or about 2.8 to 4.5 meters over the eastern seaboards in the region, particularly in Surigao del Sur and Surigao del Norte areas.
